From New Jersey to California and everywhere in between...

The year is 2010 and the location is Freehold Township High School. Some say it all began on the first day of sophomore year when bridesmaid Brittany strolled into second-period history and casually introduced, “Hi, this is my friend Natalie. She’s from California.” Others insist it was later that day, during third-period lunch, when MOH Nicole offered Natalie a seat at her table, and Kevin, somehow, found his way over from across the cafeteria. Either way, that was the day our favorite story began.

High school was a blur of Jersey Freeze runs, backyard hangouts, cheering each other on at lacrosse and soccer games, and two unforgettable proms (being crowned junior year’s Prince and Princess, humble brag). But as graduation approached, life had other plans. Kevin headed to college in Maryland, Natalie to Pennsylvania, and by the end of freshman year, the pair inevitably went their separate ways (though, if you ask Kevin, Natalie "ruthlessly broke his heart"). With Natalie transferring to Arizona State and Kevin to Monmouth University, their high school chapter was coming to a close.

But every great love story needs a plot twist.

Fast forward to 2019. Five years later, Kevin packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles for a job, landing in the same city where Natalie had been living post-college. One Beverly Hills Hotel holiday party later, fate (and maybe a little bit of champagne) did its thing. Just like that, the two were back together, picking up right where they left off, this time on the West Coast.

On November 16, 2024, Kevin made it official on the Hermosa Beach Pier, asking Natalie to be his roommate for life.

We don’t know exactly how the rest of our story will unfold, but we do know this—it’s going to be one worth reading.
